Samsung Notes update brings new widget option to Galaxy devices

Samsung Notes is among the most feature-rich note-taking apps available on Android, and Samsung keeps on bringing new features to Samsung Notes every few months. Now, the South Korean firm has released a new update to the app, bringing a new widget to devices running the app.

Samsung Notes update brings Note List widget

The Samsung Notes app has received a new update via Galaxy Store, bringing a new widget that lets you view the list of recent notes created by you. The new widget is called Note List, and it is a 5 x 2 widget, similar to the Single Note widget. The update hasn't rolled out to everyone yet, though, with only some of our team members able to see it.

The new Note List widget displays the list of all recently created/edited notes. It displays the names of the recent notes along with a thumbnail preview for them, giving users a good idea of what is included in those notes. As usual, you can still change the size of the widget to your liking while adding it to your phone's or tablet's home screen.

Samsung Notes has three more widgets: Note Creator, Note Shortcut, and Single Note. We expect the new Samsung Notes update to be released to more users in the coming days. The update could be released on the Galaxy Store before going live on the Play Store.
