Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition and the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition in Indonesia. The company says that its new tablets are safe and comfortable for children. Both tablets come with extensive parental controls and tools to limit children's watch time. The Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition is priced at IDR 3,299,000 ($212), while the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition (5G) costs IDR 4,999,000 ($322).
Both these tablets were launched a few weeks ago in global markets.

Those who pre-order any of these new tablets in Indonesia from December 12 to December 17 will get a Puffy Cover, a Crayon Stylus, Kids Stickers, a 20W charger, and the Samsung Care+ plan for one year. This premium device protection plan offers device and screen protection for free.
The Galaxy Tab A9 has an 8.7-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ has an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both tablets have 4GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. A microSD card slot can be used to expand storage by up to an additional 1TB. These tablets are protected by Samsung Knox, while Samsung Kids mode offers educational and fun content for kids. The tablet runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. The Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition uses the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition features the Snapdragon 695 processor.
The Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition and the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition come with a special anti-impact casing so that they're safe for kids. Samsung Kids comes with the block coding game Crocro, the cooking app Cooki, the singing and dancing app Lisa's Music Band, and the drawing and coloring app Bobby's Canvas. It can be customized to add more kids' apps and games. Parents can set daily screen limits and change the background of the Samsung Kids mode. These tablets also feature Eye Comfort Shield, which blocks blue light from the screen that could be harmful to the eyes.
The Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition has a 2MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition has a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera. The Galaxy Tab A9 has stereo speakers and a 5,100mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ has quad speakers and a 7,040mAh battery. Both tablets feature Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and 15W charging.
