The carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are getting the stable Android 13 update in the US. The new update comes with firmware version G99xU1UEU5DVK3 and brings One UI 5.0 to the phones. It still uses the October 2022 security patch instead of the more recent November 2022 patch.
If you are a Galaxy S21 series user with a carrier-unlocked device, you can now install the Android 13 update on your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the new firmware file applicable to your device from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series in early 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 onboard. The smartphones in the series received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in late 2021 and the Android 13-based One UI 5 update a few days ago. They will get two more major Android OS updates in the future.
