Samsung has issued a new notice in the Samsung Find app for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It notifies users that on devices running One UI 2.0 (Android 10) and older, the brand will not offer any new updates to the app going forward.
It means that the app running on such phones and tablets will no longer get any new features, performance improvements, or bug fixes. The company also says the end of support means that the connection with newer devices may be limited.

However, the Samsung Find app will keep working on Galaxy phones and tablets running One UI 2.0 and older. In fact, if users of these devices uninstall the app, they can reinstall it from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store. Needless to say, it may be an older version of the app, or in other words, the latest version compatible with those One UI versions.
Samsung says that if there is a newer version of One UI available for such devices, their users should update them to the latest firmware, and then update the device tracking app to the latest version. It will enable them to get newer updates, which may offer new features, performance improvements, bug fixes, and compatibility with newer devices.
The tech giant says that it is ending support to “ensure a more stable and high-quality service experience for all our users.”
