Since 2020, Samsung has been launching three models in every S-series. You get a vanilla model, a Plus version, and an Ultra variant. Take the Galaxy S24 series for example. It has the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

As such, people are expecting the brand to offer three models in the Galaxy S25 series as well, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, is it possible Samsung could take a different approach with the Galaxy S25 series by skipping the Plus model?

Galaxy S25 series might not have a Plus model

According to Android Headlines, the Galaxy S25 series will have only two models, the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It claims that there will be no Galaxy S25+. The information is based on their database, which is reportedly showing only the vanilla and Ultra models but not the Plus version.

However, there’s a lot of time for the launch, and things could change between now and then. So, take this information with a pinch of salt.

Why would Samsung skip the Galaxy S25+?

In recent years, we have seen that people who want a smaller device prefer to buy the vanilla model and the ones who want a larger device go with the Ultra variant. As such, very few people buy the Plus version.

Due to that, Samsung has seen poor sales numbers for the Plus model over the years. This could be one of the main reasons why it might have decided to skip the Galaxy S25+. But there's more to the story than that.

The story continues after the video…

Every year, the differences between the vanilla model and the Plus variant keep getting smaller. For example, the only difference between the Galaxy S24 and S24+ is that the latter has a larger screen (and higher screen resolution) and larger battery. The rest of the specifications between the two models are the same.

That could be the other reason why Samsung has decided to skip the Galaxy S25+. Irrespective of the logic, a few people will certainly be disappointed with Samsung’s decision. But, again, keep in mind that nothing is confirmed at this time.
