Multiple reports have claimed that Samsung is working on clip-on-style wireless earbuds and that they could be called the Galaxy Able. However, a new report now claims that this isn’t the final name Samsung has chosen for its upcoming earbuds.

According to a tipster, Samsung’s first-ever clip-on-style wireless earbuds will be called the ‘Galaxy Buds On.' The name also seems more believable than Galaxy Buds Able. The earbuds bear model number SM-U600, which is very different from the SM-Rxx model numbers used for all previous Galaxy Buds. This suggests they will be substantially different from Samsung’s existing Galaxy Buds lineup.

Based on information leaked so far, the Galaxy Buds On feature a clip-on design. Instead of sitting inside your ear canal, they clip onto the outer edge of your ear. The earbuds are rumored to use bone conduction technology to reproduce audio.

It isn’t clear when Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Buds On. However, they don’t appear to be launching at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22, 2026. They could instead make their debut alongside the Galaxy S26 FE later this year.
