Last year, Google announced that it would bring Android games to the Windows operating system through the Google Play Games app. A few months later, it was released in select countries, including Australia, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and the US. Now, the ability to play Android games is being rolled out in India.

Google has announced the availability of Google Play Games (beta version) in India. It means you can install the app (from here) on your Galaxy Book (or any computer) running Windows 10 or Windows 11 and start playing select games. Now, Google Play Games is available for Windows in over 60 countries worldwide. Once you install it and sign into your Google account, your games and game data are synced across platforms, including smartphones, tablets, ChromeOS computers, and Windows computers. It means you can continue where you left off playing a game.

To install Google Play Games, you would need a computer or laptop running Windows 10 (v2004 or later) or Windows 11, a CPU with four cores (or higher), Intel UHD Graphics 630 (or better GPU), 10GB of space on an SSD, and a minimum of 8GB of RAM. You also need access to a Windows admin account and have CPU virtualization turned on.

The collection of games available on Google Play Games includes Jetpack Joyride, Mohjang Village, Blade Idle, Ludo King, Pixel Starships, Hitwicket Superstars, and more. Google claims that it worked closely with game developers to make their games optimized to be used with keyboards and mice. The company plans to expand the collection of games available on Google Play Games for PC.
