One UI 6.1.1 brings a subtle change to equalizer

Audio equalizer has a new UI and preset names in One UI 6.1.1

With the One UI 6.1.1 update, Samsung has changed the UI of the audio equalizer in the Settings app. As you can see in the screenshots below (One UI 6.1 on the left and One UI 6.1.1 on the right), the graphic 9-band equalizer is on the top, and the names of preset equalizers have changed.

In One UI 6.1, preset equalizers were named based on music genres: Classic, Jazz, Pop, and Rock. In One UI 6.1.1, Samsung has changed the names of presets to Bass Boost, Clear, Dynamic, Smooth, and Treble Boost. The Normal preset has been renamed to Balanced, while Custom remains as is. So, there is one additional audio equalizer preset.

The newer names are probably more understandable to users, especially newer ones, as many people might not know about music genres and how those preset equalizers affect their music.

These new preset equalizer names first debuted in July with the launch of the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. They have been added to all phones running One UI 6.1.1, so the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 have received this change.
