Samsung was able to stay true to its roadmap and managed to roll out the One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy S21 FE before the end of November. The Android 13-based firmware is available for the international Galaxy S21 FE carrying model number SM-G990B. The update can be identified by firmware version G990BXXU2DVK3.
Galaxy S21 FE users should now be able to enjoy new features like multitasking gestures, a new way to check background app activity from the recent apps screen, a redesigned lock screen customization screen, better optimization, Modes and Routines, and more.
In regions where it is available, the One UI 5.0 update can be updated from the Settings app on your Galaxy S21 FE once you navigate to “Software update” and tap “Download and install.” New official firmware files are also added to our website regularly, so make sure you check our firmware section if you prefer manual downloads.
Thanks for the tip, Miodrag!
