Usually, Samsung launches one flagship smartphone with a book-style foldable display every year. However, in 2026, the brand is expected to launch two. The first will be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the second will be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, a wider version of the former.
So far, there have been a few leaks about the upcoming phones, revealing their key specifications, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about them. Today, we have a new leak about these devices that sheds light on some of the aspects we didn’t know about them earlier, thanks to Tech Maniacs. Let’s take a look.

According to the publication, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will weigh 210 grams and its thickness will be 4.1mm when opened/unfolded. It claims that the phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging and 25W wireless charging.
As for the cameras, the report claims that the phone will have a triple-camera setup at the rear. While it will carry over the 200MP primary and 10MP 3x telephoto cameras from its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the ultra wide camera will be a 50MP from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, instead of the 12MP unit on the current model.

According to Tech Maniacs, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide’s foldable display will measure 7.6 inches diagonally, featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio. As for the cameras, it is said to have two cameras at the rear: a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The report claims that the phone will weigh 200 grams and feature a 4,800mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging. The publication says that Samsung will launch the lineup at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held around July 22, 2026.
