You may think the title above is incorrect, but we can assure you the iPhone 15 Pro Max outprices the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in at least one big market: India. If you want to buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max in India, you can expect to pay INR 159,990 ($1,928) for the 256GB model.

Although the $1,199 starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro Max sounds like a bargain in the USA, that quoted price doesn't include VAT, and the reality is different in many markets outside the USA.
In European countries like Germany or the Netherlands, you can expect to pay roughly €1,500 for the top-of-the-line iPhone. Still, it's not as pricey as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which usually starts at €1,899 without trade-in or the usual discounts.
We haven't checked the prices for every market, but Apple fans in India seem to be getting the short end of the stick. And assuming they're not tied to the Apple ecosystem, they might be better off buying the Galaxy Z Fold 5 if they have the budget and they're looking to experience something new.
