Samsung is making progress with One UI 8 for devices launched before 2024.

Samsung is making inroads with the development of the One UI 8 update for Galaxy smartphones launched before 2024. After One UI 8 firmware for the Galaxy S24 appeared on Samsung’s servers, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy S22+ have been benchmarked on Geekbench running the upcoming software.
Specifically, Samsung is testing the US variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy S22+, but don't let that dismay you. While only the US models have been benchmarked thus far, the update will likely roll out to multiple markets within days of its official release.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, this will be the third major OS upgrade. For the Galaxy S22 lineup, it will be the final big software update, and unfortunately, it will also be the most boring one yet. While there are some excellent improvements in there, One UI 8's list of new features is embarrassingly small, as you can see from its official changelog.
Samsung will likely start the official rollout for eligible devices sometime in August or September, following the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July. The new foldables will come preloaded with One UI 8 (Android 16).
