Galaxy Z Fold 3 gets October 2022 security update in India, USA

After the Galaxy Fold 5G and the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung has also started rolling out the October 2022 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The foldable phone is getting the new security update in India and the US.

The latest security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 bumps up the firmware version to F926BXXS2CVIG in India. In the US, the unlocked version of the foldable phone is getting a new update with firmware version F926U1TBS2DVI4. The October 2022 security patch fixes 47 security vulnerabilities, as explained by Samsung's documentation. The update might also bring device reliability and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in India or the US, you can download and install the newest update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file for your device from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung's latest flagship foldable smartphone, is yet to get the new software update. Hopefully, Samsung will soon release the new security update to its highest-end smartphone that's currently on sale.
