Samsung had initially released the One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in South Korea on November 25. However, the company had to pause the rollout due to a critical bug in the firmware. Now, the company has resumed the update in its home country.

The initial update prevented Galaxy Z Fold 2 users from unlocking their phones, and they had to perform a factory reset to start using the phone. The new update with firmware version F916NKSU1ZTKD is now rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in South Korea. The company has mentioned in its community forum that it has released a hotfix update to the devices which had received the buggy firmware and resumed recruiting additional beta participants.

The new update fixes most of the critical bug, including the one related to the lock screen. Users who installed the hotfix update are reporting that the lock screen related bug has been fixed and they are not facing the problem anymore. The company will likely release more One UI 3.0 beta updates in the coming weeks before it releases the stable version to the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
