The initial update prevented Galaxy Z Fold 2 users from unlocking their phones, and they had to perform a factory reset to start using the phone. The new update with firmware version F916NKSU1ZTKD is now rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in South Korea. The company has mentioned in its community forum that it has released a hotfix update to the devices which had received the buggy firmware and resumed recruiting additional beta participants.
The new update fixes most of the critical bug, including the one related to the lock screen. Users who installed the hotfix update are reporting that the lock screen related bug has been fixed and they are not facing the problem anymore. The company will likely release more One UI 3.0 beta updates in the coming weeks before it releases the stable version to the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Samsung has closed the One UI 3.0 beta update for the Galaxy Note 20 series, which likely means that it will soon release the stable update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The company is expected to release the stable Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update to the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Note 20 series early next month.
