Samsung is rolling out the October 2022 security patch to the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in the US. For now, the update is rolling out only to those devices that are on the T-Mobile network, but you can expect it to hit very soon to the two devices that are on other network carriers as well.

However, there’s no information yet if the update brings any new features or improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3 user on the T-Mobile network, you can get the update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the update from our firmware database and flash it manually. Don’t forget to back up all your data before flashing the phone manually.
The carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US and the international version of the foldable got the October 2022 security patch a couple of days ago. Expect the update to reach other regions by the end of this month.
