Samsung has confirmed that new software updates will soon be rolled out for the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. This update will enable these devices to elevate the camera experience on your Galaxy phone.

After this update, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will support 360 Audio Recording, enabling you to add immersive sound to the video content you capture through your Galaxy phone. The Camera Controller on your Galaxy Watch will get a new zoom feature with this update.

Get a better camera experience with Samsung's wearable devices

The 360 Audio Recording feature will capture sound on video exactly as you hear it in real life. This means that you can now record videos with high-quality, realistic audio without needing expensive professional equipment.

This feature works by picking up 360-degree sound via the microphone in each earbud. Playing back the video on an audio device that supports 360-degree audio, like the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, will provide users with a lifelike experience that will feel as if they were a part of the action in real life.

The 360 Audio Recording is the first feature in the Galaxy line that utilizes Bluetooth LE Audio standard. It enables binaural audio recording on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro as well by utilizing both the left and right mics at the same time. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro users can enable this feature when their earbuds are paired with a Galaxy phone running One UI 5.0 or higher with support for LE Audio. This includes the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in addition to upcoming Samsung phones.

The Camera Controller app for the Galaxy Watch lets users control their device's camera from their wrist. A new update is being released for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 that brings zoom functionality to the Camera Controller app.

Users can control their phone camera's zoom remotely from their wrist. All they need to do is pinch on the watch face or rotate the bezel to zoom in or out. This will make it very easy to take group shots or selfies from a distance.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro software update that enables the 360 Audio Recording feature will start rolling out progressively from today. The camera zoom feature will be released for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series starting in February.
