Samsung has released a new v4.5.10.5 app update for the Galaxy Store in select markets. The update finally brings dark mode and One UI design to the company’s app store. Most of Samsung’s apps have already received these features in the last year or so. With the new update, Galaxy Store is also now joining that list, at least in some markets.

You can check for the app update under About Galaxy Store in the app store settings. In some cases, Samsung also tends to prompt users to install the update when they open the app. If none of that works, you can download the latest Galaxy Store APK from our database and manually install it. Do note that the APK may not work in select regions like India where the company has a different version of Galaxy Store.

Though Google Play Store is the most popular and default app store on Android, it is missing a few apps and games that are available in Galaxy Store. For listings like Fortnite, Good Lock, Theme Park, and more, Galaxy customers have to rely on Samsung’s app store that comes pre-installed on their devices. Many of the company’s pre-loaded apps are also updated through Galaxy Store. It is thus good to see Samsung finally bring its new design language to this somewhat regularly used app as well.

One UI: I much prefer default icon colors to palette-matching ones

The most recent versions of One UI allow users to color-match their app icons to the UI palette. The way it works is self-explanatory. When enabled, this feature generates a more color-consistent UI across the board. At least, in theory. It’s a nice feature to have in One UI, and since many users asked for […]

One UI feature focus: Samsung DeX keyboard shortcuts

Samsung DeX doesn’t need an introduction, but some hidden features may deserve a more thorough explanation. One UI feature focus: Ungroup similar photos in Samsung Gallery

Samsung’s Gallery app has a clever(ish) feature that can group similar images, pick a “best” photo from the group for you, and hide the others. The Gallery app doesn’t delete the remaining photos that weren’t labeled “best,” but it doesn’t show them as regular photos you can swipe through. And as we’ll explain below, this […]
