They could use Qualcomm's first-ever 2nm Snapdragon chip.

The Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. If a new leak is to be believed, Qualcomm's first 2nm processor could help Samsung's next flagship phones deliver substantially better gaming performance.
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the Adreno GPUs inside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chips have six slices alongside “exclusive technology with a fully utilized cache“. By comparison, the Adreno 840 GPU inside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip reportedly features three slices.
Assuming Qualcomm has not drastically altered the basic architecture of each slice in the Adreno 845 or the Adreno 850 GPU, the company's next flagship processors could offer a massive graphics boost over the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra and many other high-end phones.
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro during its annual Snapdragon Summit next month in Hawaii.
The first phones equipped with these chips could start arriving in the fourth quarter of this year, while Samsung's Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch in early 2027.
