TL;DR

  • Purported Galaxy S27 Pro renders show a rear design and camera bar that closely resembles recent iPhone Pro Max models.
  • The leaked design may extend to the Galaxy S27 Ultra too, while the Pro version reportedly drops S Pen support.
  • Other details are limited, but the Galaxy S27 Pro is said to have a 6.6-inch display and arrive early next year.

Samsung has done a lot of good work over the years to shed the notion that it copies Apple's design language for the iPhone.

It seems, though, that the company is asking for that comparison again with next year's Galaxy S27 Pro. Purported renders of the device have now been leaked online which show a very familiar rear design language.

The design similarity is striking

Shared online by Android Headlines, these renders claim to show off the Galaxy S27 Pro. This is reportedly an additional model in next year's lineup, sitting below the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

The camera bar at the back looks similar in its form and position to the latest iPhone Pro Max models. Even the positioning of the camera sensors, though not exactly a like for like reproduction, will invite that comparison.

This design language won't just be limited to the Galaxy S27 Pro. Earlier rumors have suggested that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will look like this as well. Apart from the size difference, another major change between these two models will be that the Galaxy S27 Pro won't have S Pen support. These renders don't betray the presence of a slot as well.

The device is said to measure 154.06 x 73.77 x 7.95 mm while featuring a 6.6-inch display. Details on the specs are slim right now, but we can expect improvements across the chipset, battery, camera, and display departments.

More leaks should appear in the coming months, with the Galaxy S27 series set to arrive early next year.
