We are months away from the launch of the Galaxy S25, but several details about the upcoming flagship lineup have already leaked. Now, more information about Galaxy S25 Ultra camera specifications has emerged.

Earlier, it was revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have the most camera upgrades in the lineup.

Galaxy S25 Ultra camera specifications are a massive upgrade

A few days ago, it was revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would feature a quad-camera setup on the rear. It will reportedly feature a 200MP primary rear camera and three 50MP auxiliary (telephoto and ultrawide) cameras. According to tipster @ISAQUES81 on X, the 50MP ultrawide camera on the upcoming flagship phone will have a newer version of the 1/2.76-inch ISOCELL JN1 camera sensor. It is slightly smaller than the 12MP ultrawide sensor used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra but with 4x the resolution.

Moreover, the telephoto camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra will reportedly feature a 1/3-inch 50MP ISOCELL sensor, which is slightly bigger than the 10MP sensor used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It will sit behind a 3x optical zoom lens and should have OIS.

All the cameras except for the ultrawide camera on the phone should have OIS for improved shake resistance and higher image quality in low-light conditions. The Galaxy S25 Ultra could have the same 12MP selfie camera on the front as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The story continues after our video below.

With these upgrades, all the cameras on the back of the Galaxy S25 Ultra should be able to record 4K 60fps, 4K 120fps, and 8K 30fps videos. Hopefully, all the rear cameras on the phone can use EIS at all resolutions and frame rates.

While we don't think Samsung will offer real-time switching between the rear cameras while recording 8K videos, it would be cool to have that feature. This should keep the Galaxy S25 Ultra one step ahead of the rumored iPhone 16 Pro Max, which reportedly features a 48MP ultrawide camera.

In comparison, the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+ reportedly feature a 50MP primary rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera, similar to their predecessors. We don't expect to see a 50MP ultrawide camera on those non-Ultra phones, but it would be wise for Samsung to use the same 50MP telephoto camera on these devices as the Ultra model.
