If you are considering upgrading to the Galaxy S25 next year for possible camera upgrades, you might have to look at the Ultra variant. A new report has revealed some Galaxy S25 camera specifications.

It looks like the base and plus models in the lineup won't get the same camera upgrades as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Some Galaxy S25 camera specifications have leaked

While the Galaxy S25 series launch is half a year away, some of its camera specifications have already leaked. According to a report from our friends at GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S25 will feature a 50MP primary rear camera. On the front, the upcoming smartphone will use the same 12MP selfie camera as the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S24.

The 50MP primary camera and the 12MP selfie camera will also be used for the Galaxy S25+. So, if you want an upgraded camera compared to your Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S24, you might have to upgrade to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

The story continues after our Galaxy S24 review video below.

The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are rumored to feature the Exynos 2500 chip in most markets and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor in China and the USA. However, a recent report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Samsung Foundry is facing yield-related issues in the mass production of the Exynos 2500, so Samsung will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip in all the countries.

All three phones will likely run Android 15-based One UI 7.1 software out of the box and get seven years of Android OS and security updates. Samsung could also bring several new Galaxy AI features with these upcoming phones.

All three upcoming phones will reportedly have the same battery capacities as their predecessors. So, the Galaxy S25 will likely have a 4,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come equipped with a 4,900mAh battery and a 5,000mAh battery, respectively.

More details about these phones will likely be revealed in the coming months.
