Today, Samsung announced its next-generation high-end phones. During the announcement, Samsung confirmed that all Galaxy S25 series phones sold globally use Qualcomm's latest flagship mobile chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy.
Galaxy S25 features Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra use the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip, the fastest smartphone chip Qualcomm has ever launched. It is faster than the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite and features certain optimizations for Samsung's newest high-end phones.
Samsung says the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy delivers a performance boost of up to 37% in CPU, 30% in GPU, and 40% in NPU compared to the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chips used in the Galaxy S24 series.
Qualcomm and Samsung worked together to customize the chip, which offers better AI image processing. Its ProScaler engine provides a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality. Moreover, Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) improves display power efficiency.
Thanks to these new technologies, the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip offers better performance all around, be it general usage, gaming, AI performance, or camera. It has improved ray tracing performance and Vulkan Engine for smoother and more realistic gaming.
All that power doesn't mean the phone will overheat. Samsung has used a newer heat dissipation system with a 40% larger vapor chamber and a thermal interface material (TIM) to keep temperatures in check.
