Earlier this month, Samsung released the ninth beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) to the Galaxy S25 series. Initially, the brand rolled it out in its home country, South Korea, and then in a few other regions, including India. However, the company hadn’t made it available in the US. That’s finally changing.
Samsung has released the ninth One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series in the US. At the moment, it seems to be live for the carrier-locked version of the phones in the country. The update carries firmware version ending with ZZD5 (via Matthew). It brings nine changes. You can check out the official changelog below.
The beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 is available only for those units that have been enrolled in the program. If you want to register your device for it, open the Samsung Members app, search for the banner for the bear program of the new software for your phone, and tap on it. Now, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to get it.
