The prices of the Galaxy S24 have been dropped in India starting January 23, 2025. The entry-level variant of the Galaxy S24, featuring 128GB, now costs INR 64,999 (~$753). The 256GB and 512GB variants of the phone are priced at INR 70,999 (~$822) and ₹82,999 (~$962), respectively.
That is a price drop of INR 10,000, INR 9,000, and INR 7,000 for 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants, respectively.
It is weird to see that the company hasn't officially dropped the prices of the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra yet. However, we think the prices of those phones will also drop in the near future, probably once the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra go on sale next week.

There isn't much difference between the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S25 in terms of hardware. The Galaxy S25 has the same screen, cameras, battery, and charging as its predecessor. The new phone also features Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 instead of Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E, but those aren't huge changes.
The only big change is the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip used in the Galaxy S25, which is much faster than the Exynos 2400 used in the Galaxy S24. However, that isn't to say that the Exynos 2400 is a slouch in any regard.
However, there are some software-based features, which are based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy, that won't come to the Galaxy S24. Those features include improved camera processing via the new ProVisual Engine, ProScaler for sharper details on the screen, and direct access to Gemini via the power button.
Some Galaxy AI features, like Audio Eraser, might not come to the Galaxy S24 series.
