After carrier-unlocked variants, Samsung is now rolling out the August 2024 security update to the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra for the United States, which carry model number SM-S911U, SM-S916U, and SM-S918U respectively.
The latest security patch fixes 50 security issues, and the update that brings it to your Galaxy S23 carries firmware version S91XUSQS4CXG8. Currently, the update is available for units of Comcast, DISH, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile. Devices on other networks should also get it soon.
There are two ways you can download the August 2024 security update on your Galaxy S23. First, over the air (OTA) by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Second, by downloading the firmware from our database and installing it manually using Odin.

Samsung is expected to release One UI 6.1.1 or at least the features it offers to older Galaxy smartphones soon. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra could be eligible to get it. Soon after that, the company will roll out Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta to these devices.
