Soon after the announcement of the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update to its existing high-end smartphones. More than half a dozen smartphones have received the update. Even the Galaxy S21 FE is getting a new update, but it's not One UI 5.1.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 FE brings the February 2023 security patch that aims to fix over four dozen security vulnerabilities. The update bumps up the phone's firmware version to G990USQS4DWA1. The update is currently available on US Cellular's network in the US, and it's limited to the carrier-locked version of the phone. Other networks could release the new update to the Galaxy S21 FE soon.

How to install February 2023 security update on your Galaxy S21 FE?

If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user with a carrier-locked model in the US, you can now download and install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. Alternatively, you can use the manual firmware flashing process to install the new update after downloading the latest firmware from our database.

The Galaxy S21 FE was launched with Android 12 onboard and comes with a promise of four Android OS updates. Samsung has already released the Android 13 update to the smartphone, which means that it will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
