Last week, Samsung released the Android 14 update to the Galaxy s21 FE. However, the update was first released to phones in the US and then in Europe. Now, the company has released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S21 FE in India.

The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S21 FE for the Snapdragon 888 version of the phone is now available in India. The update comes with firmware version G990B2XXU5FWK3 and has a download size of around 2.44GB. Rather than the latest security patch, the new software update is still using the November 2023 security patch. The Exynos version of the phone hasn't received the update yet, but we expect it to arrive before the end of this month.

You can download the update on your Galaxy S21 FE by heading over to the Settings app, navigating to Software Update, and tapping Download and Install. Alternatively, you can download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using the Odin tool on a computer running Windows operating system.

The Galaxy S21 FE was launched in 2022 with Android 12 onboard, and Android 14 is its second big update. It will get Android 15 and Android 16 updates in late 2024 and late 2025, respectively.

Galaxy S21 FE Android 14 (One UI 6.0) features

The One UI 6.0 update brings several new features to the Galaxy S21 FE, including a brand-new Quick Panel layout, a new font, new styling for all emojis, and two new widgets (Custom Camera and Weather Insight). Notifications have a tweaked design, while the lock screen clock widget now has more font and placement options.

Samsung has also improved all of its stock apps, including the camera app which now has a more simple UI. The built-in image and video editors now have more prominent editing controls. The video editor tool has been renamed to Video Studio, and it now supports saving drafts and continuing editing later. There is now a dedicated battery section in the Settings app. For all other new features and design changes, watch our in-depth One UI 6.0 video above.
