As was expected from what's essentially a Lite variant of the Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20 FE won't push the envelope in terms of screen-to-body ratio.
In addition to this bluish hue, it was a month ago that we had revealed the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will also be available in white and light violet, and green, orange, and red were also revealed to be included in the list of color options in a separate leak. Those other finishes are yet to make an appearance, however. Given what Samsung did with the Galaxy S10 Lite, there's a chance those color options end up being marketed as Prism Blue, Prism White, Prism Violet, Prism Green, Prism Orange, and Prism Red.
What's less clear is what kind of spec sheet are we to expect from the Galaxy S20 FE 5G; save from the titular 5G support. Samsung itself was reportedly quite conflicted on the matter, primarily due to the crazy level of competition the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is facing. With that said, a 120Hz display is among the likeliest novel features, which makes sense seeing how that happens to be one of the main selling points of Samsung's 2020 mobile portfolio. A 4,500 mAh battery and a camera setup similar to the standard Galaxy S20 are expected as well.
Given the timing of its initial appearance, it's reasonable to assume the Galaxy S20 FE 5G will be making an appearance at this week's Galaxy Unpacked event. However, the value-first flagship is unlikely to hit the market alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, the star of the August 5th happening. Instead, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition range is expected to become available for purchase this fall.
