Last week, Samsung released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to the Galaxy S10 Lite in Asian and European countries. Today, the company has released a new software update to the Galaxy S10 Lite in the US. However, it would be best if you didn't get your hopes high, as it doesn't bring Android 13 to the phone.

The Galaxy S10 Lite's US variant with model number SM-G770U1 has started getting the December 2022 security update. It arrives with firmware version G770U1UES6GVL2 and fixes 93 security vulnerabilities as per Samsung's security bulletin. The update could include a few general bug fixes and device stability improvements to the phone.

If you are a Galaxy S10 Lite user in the US, you can install the December 2022 security update on your phone by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite in early 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in late 2020 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. A few days ago, it received the Android 13 update in Asia and Europe. In the US, the Android 13 should arrive within the next few weeks.
