Last month, Samsung released the February 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 10 series. However, the US versions of the phones in the Galaxy Note 10 lineup are getting that update now, which means the update is more than one month late.

The carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ in the US are getting their newest updates with firmware version N97xUSQU5GWB2. Right now, the new update is available on Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks in the US. Other US network carriers might release the new security update soon. The February 2023 security patch included in the new software fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy phones and tablets.

If you are a Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+ user with a carrier-locked version in the US, you can download the new software update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware version from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in mid-2019, which means the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ are more than three years old. These devices are listed in Samsung's quarterly update schedule, which means they will now get the next update sometime in April, May, or June of this year. They were launched with Android 9 onboard, and Android 12 was their last major Android OS update.
