After pushing the January 2024 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung is rolling out the latest security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new update improves the system security of the device. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 January 2024 security update is live for users in Germany and is expected to expand to more European regions in the coming days.
Apart from enhancing the stability and performance of the device, the new update doesn't add any new features to the device, which is what you expect from a security update. The January 2024 security update arrives with build version F936BXXS4EWL5, based on the latest One UI 6. The update is around 412 MB, so we suggest using a stable mobile internet or Wi-Fi connection.
Some AI features are expected to arrive for older Galaxy devices after Galaxy S24 launches
Those who are waiting for some new features, won't have to wait longer, as Samsung will push the freshly cooked features (mostly AI-powered features) with the One UI 6.1 update that will debut with the Galaxy S24 series, due for launch on January 17. Do note that there isn't any confirmation on how many AI features will make their way to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and other devices eligible for One UI 6.1.
To download the latest January 2024 update, Galaxy Z Fold 4 users need to navigate through Settings > Software update > and hit the Download and Install button.
