Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be unveiled at its first Unpacked 2024 event on January 17. The date had previously been rumored and the company has now confirmed that it's indeed when the next flagship lineup will be revealed.
The company switched up its Unpacked events last year by announcing that it would hold these events in a different city every time. The last Unpacked event for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 was held in Seoul, South Korea. The event for the Galaxy S24 series takes place in San Jose, California.
Samsung's heading to San Jose for the Galaxy S24 Unpacked
This is the first Unpacked event of the year and Samsung will be unveiling its latest lineup of flagship devices. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will undoubtedly be some of the best Android phones that we see on the market this year.
Expect much of the focus to be on Galaxy AI during the event. These are the suite of AI features that Samsung will introduce with the Galaxy S24 series. Artificial intelligence is a major area of focus for the new flagships, with the Exynos 2400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets both boasting significant AI capabilities.
This includes the ability to perform real-time language translation during phone calls, image expansion, wallpaper generation, summarization in Samsung Notes, and more. People will be particularly interested in seeing how Samsung has used AI to improve the camera features on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, as that will be its camera flagship for 2024.
A lot has already been leaked about the devices so there's not much that will come as a surprise. Nonetheless, SamMobile will be on the ground in San Jose, California, to provide live updates from Unpacked 2024. You will also be able to watch the event online on Samsung's website and its YouTube channel.
