Samsung launches Galaxy F55 in India

After a delay of a couple of weeks, Samsung has launched the Galaxy F55 in India. It is a rebranded and redesigned version of the Galaxy M55 that was launched in the country a few weeks ago.

The specifications of the Galaxy F55 are the same as those of the Galaxy M55, and the only change is in its design.

The Galaxy F55 features a faux leather back, which makes it more comfortable to hold. It also looks unique in Samsung's smartphone lineup. The phone has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness. It also has stereo speakers.

The phone uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It has a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.

On the front, it has a 50MP selfie camera. On the rear, the Galaxy F55 has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Its front and primary rear cameras can record 4K videos at 30fps.

The Galaxy F55 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging (USB PD PPS). It has GPS, a dual-SIM card slot with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. It has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone also has an under-display optical fingerprint reader.

The Galaxy F55's pricing in India starts at INR 26,999 for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at INR 29,999, while the one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs INR 32,999. It is available in Apricot Crush and Raisin Black colors. You can buy the phone from Flipkart and Samsung India starting at 7 PM (IST) today.
