The Galaxy A90 5G has started getting the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in South Korea. An update with firmware version A908NKSU4EVC1 is rolling out now, and more markets could get the update over the next few weeks. The update also brings the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy A90 5G user in South Korea, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The Android 12-based One UI 4 update for the Galaxy A90 5G brings a revamped UI design with Color Palette feature, improved stock apps, new widget styling, an updated widget picker UI, and improved Dark Mode. The company has added more widgets for the home and lock screens.
Samsung has added quick setting toggles to enable or disable system-wide access to the camera and microphone for improved privacy and security. There are privacy indicators for camera and microphone usage. Privacy Dashboard has been added to the Galaxy A90 5G. Bixby, Bixby Routines, and accessibility features have been improved.
The Galaxy A90 5G was launched in mid-2019 with Android 9 Pie-based One UI. It received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in 2020 and the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in 2021.
