The Galaxy A71, which has been getting quarterly software updates, is now getting the September 2022 security update. The mid-range smartphone, which was launched more than two years ago, is getting the new security update in Hong Kong, and other regions could get the update soon.

A715FZHU8CVI4 is the firmware version of the latest Galaxy A71 update. You can download the new software update if you're in Hong Kong, and you can do that by heading to Settings » Software update on your smartphone and tapping Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The new update brings the September 2022 security update that patches over 24 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also improve the phone's stability and fix some general bugs.

The phone was launched with Android 10-based One UI 2 software. It then received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update last year and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update earlier this year. Samsung may or may not release the Android 13 update to the phone, but it will regularly release security updates.
