    February 2022 security update has been released to the Galaxy A71

    Samsung has already released the March 2022 security update to some smartphones, but the Galaxy A71 is only now getting the February 2022 security update. The company has released the security patch to the Galaxy A71 in various Latin American markets.

    The latest software update for the Galaxy A71 comes bears firmware version A715FXXU8BVB1. It includes the February 2022 security patch to fix over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It could also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes. The 5G variant of the smartphone hasn't received the new update yet.

    If you are a Galaxy A71 user in any of the regions mentioned above, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

    Samsung had launched the Galaxy A71 in early 2020 with Android 10 on board. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in early 2021 and the Android 12 update could arrive within the next couple of months.
