After releasing the Android 12 update to most high-end smartphones and tablets, Samsung has set its sight on premium mid-range devices. It released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A52s in Korea two days ago. Today, the company has released the update in some European countries.

The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy A52s 5G (SM-A528B) comes with firmware version A528BXXU1BUL7. The update is currently rolling out in France, Luxembourg, Poland, and Switzerland. It also includes the January 2022 security patch that fixes various privacy and security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy A52s 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. Other European countries could get the update within the next few days.

The One UI 4.0 update brings a refreshed UI design to the Galaxy A52s. It features the Color Palette feature, more prominent brightness and volume sliders, new widget styling, a new widget picker UI, improved Dark Mode, and more AoD options. It also brings improved versions of all stock apps, including Bixby, Bixby Routines, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard.

Samsung has also improved the privacy and security of the Galaxy A52s with the Android 12 update. The phone now shows privacy indicators when the camera or microphone is used. There are quick setting toggles for enabling or disabling camera and microphone access across the system. There is a Privacy Dashboard, too.
