Latest Galaxy A52 series update brings improved stability

The Galaxy A52 series—the A52, A52 5G, and A52s—is getting a new software update this month, less than two weeks after the previous one. The latter brought the August 2024 security patch to the lineup, and now, all three models are receiving general stability and reliability improvements.

The new Galaxy A52, A52s, and A52 5G update can be identified by the build number A52xxXXU9GXH1. It appears to be available in only a handful of Asian countries at the time of writing, but the rollout should expand to other regions and countries in the coming days.

As mentioned earlier, this update improves the device's stability and reliability. The changelog does not say anything else, and considering how old the Galaxy A52 series is at this point, we don't expect the update to add anything notable to the user experience. For those wondering, the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s aren't eligible for the Circle to Search Galaxy AI feature that was recently released for newer Galaxy A series handsets.

To download the latest update on your A52, A52s, or A52 5G, open the phone's Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. Or, download the full-sized firmware available on SamMobile and install it on the phone to upgrade to the latest software version using a Windows PC and a USB-C cable.
