Samsung has released the last major software update to one of its best-selling smartphones, the Galaxy A51 5G. The mid-range smartphone is now getting updated to One UI 5.1 with a major software update. Right now, the update is rolling out in European countries and could expand to more markets within the next few weeks.

The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A51 5G comes with firmware version A516BXXU6FWB5. The update also brings the February 2023 security patch to the smartphone. It is a fairly big software update, so we recommend you download it using a Wi-Fi network. The update is currently live in Italy, Nordic countries, Portugal, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. Galaxy A51 5G units in other European countries could get the update very soon.

If you are a Galaxy A51 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the One UI 5.1 update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 5G with Android 10 onboard in the first half of 2020. The device received the Android 11 update in early 2021 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. The phone received the Android 13 update toward the end of 2022. You can view all the important One UI 5.1 features in our in-depth video below.
