While most other Galaxy smartphones have already started getting the October 2021 security update, the Galaxy A30 is now getting the previous month's security patch. The mid-range smartphone has begun getting the September 2021 security update in various Latin American markets.
The Galaxy A30 is getting a new software update with firmware version A305GUBS8CUI1. It is currently available in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. This update brings the September 2021 security patch that fixes close to four dozen privacy and security related vulnerabilities.
The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. If you are a Galaxy A30 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A30 in early 2019 with Android 9 Pie onboard. The smartphone received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update early last year and the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in May 2021.
