It's good news for Galaxy A13 5G users in the US! The entry-level 5G smartphone from Samsung has finally started getting the Android 12 and One UI 4.1 update. The new software update is currently rolling out for the carrier-locked version of the phone.

The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A13 5G comes with firmware version A136USQU2BVE9. It brings along One UI 4.1 and the May 2022 security patch. The new software brings dozens of new features and fixes a lot of privacy and security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy A13 5G user in the US, you can now download this significant OS update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually. The phone was launched with Android 11 out of the box and will get one more Android OS update in the future.

Galaxy A13 5G Android 12 (One UI 4.1) features

The new update revamps the UI design with the Color Palette feature, thicker sliders, a new widget picker UI, more modern-looking widgets, and more widget options on the lock screen. Samsung has also improved the device's performance and offered the ability to turn off GOS (Game Optimization Service). You can even share Wi-Fi passwords via Quick Share.

The Gallery app can add portrait effects to any image with a person in it. It lets you change portrait lighting effects, convert unnecessary motion photos into still images, and share pictures and videos through albums via a single link. It can also turn still images of some sceneries into 24-hour time-lapse videos. You can add emojis to Calendar entries.

Samsung has also added the option to add GIFs from Tenor to AR Emojis. Background colors can be changed in the Mask Mode. Google Duo Live Sharing lets you share the screen with others during a video call and plan things together. Samsung Health offers more data and ways to reach your goals more effectively.

SmartThings Find lets you share devices with others to find lost devices together. It also notifies you if you leave any compatible device behind. When you share images or videos with others, the editing history is also carried forward so the receiving person can undo those edits. Bixby Routines now gets more features, including a paired Galaxy Watch's battery percentage.

You can customize and choose apps where you want Samsung Keyboard to correct text automatically. Grammarly integration offers language suggestions and spelling corrections. The phone also gets the RAM Plus feature to add virtual RAM for better multitasking. Sound balance can be customized for wired and wireless earphones from the Accessibility menu.
