CapCut, a popular mobile video editing app among mobile vloggers, has a new version optimized for big-screen Android devices. It brings a desktop-grade video editing workflow to Galaxy tablets and Galaxy Z Fold series foldable phones.
CapCut Pad is a new version of the video editing app with a user interface (UI) designed specifically for large-screen Android devices such as foldable phones, tablets, and laptops. Its launch was announced by CapCut on X. You can download it from the Google Play Store and use it on Galaxy Tab devices. It could also be a great video editing solution for future Galaxy laptops running Android.
The app offers multi-layer and multi-track editing, keyframe animations, filters, transitions, captions, text, and stickers. It also includes advanced features such as automatic background removal, auto-generated captions, and text-to-speech. Using the tablet version of the app, users can export videos in up to 4K resolution at 60fps with HDR support.
The iPad version of CapCut launched in 2025, and the app has now expanded to Android tablets.
Over the past couple of years, more tablet-optimized apps have been launched for Android tablets. Some notable examples include Adobe Lightroom, Clip Studio Paint, DaVinci Resolve, Goodnotes, and Sketchbook. A tablet-optimized version of Adobe Premiere is also expected to arrive on Android devices soon.
