Camera Assistant is Samsung's advanced customization app that allows users to fine-tune the behavior of the stock Camera app on Galaxy devices through additional settings and controls.

For example, users can enable or disable automatic lens switching, adjust picture softening levels, add extra zoom shortcuts, and prioritize focus accuracy over capture speed. The app also allows users to adjust autofocus speed and sensitivity for both photo and video modes.

Other features include the ability to change the number of shots captured when using the timer, enable or disable Auto HDR, toggle video softening, and activate HDR10+ video recording.
