Over the past six months, Samsung has launched several new tablets, ranging from quite affordable devices like the Galaxy Tab A9 to extravagant tablets like the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. But Samsung still thinks its tablet lineup needs more models. It looks like the South Korean firm is preparing another affordable tablet.

The Galaxy Tab A9 is the company's most affordable tablet, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ is a step above, featuring a bigger and smoother screen. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series offers the best balance between entry-level and premium tablets. But it looks like Samsung wants to slot in a new tablet between the Galaxy Tab A9 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. An unannounced tablet with model number SM-P620 has been spotted in Geekbench's database, revealing some of its specifications. It scored 930 points in the single-core CPU performance test and 1,843 points in the multi-core CPU performance test.

It could be named the Galaxy Tab S9 Lite or the Galaxy Tab S8 Lite, but nothing can be said for sure until we know more about the device. It has the Exynos 1280 processor, which is a 5nm chip featuring two high-performance CPU cores and six power-efficient CPU cores. The tablet seems to have 4GB RAM and the Android 14 operating system.

Since the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has a processor with four high-performance CPU cores and the Galaxy Tab A9+ has an older-generation processor with 6nm fabrication and two high-performance CPU cores, the upcoming tablet from Samsung could slot in between those two models. Since the tablet has appeared now, we expect it to launch before the end of this year.

If you want a Samsung tablet with balanced performance and price, have a look at the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. You can watch its full review in our video below. Click the button below the video to buy the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
