Apple might be developing an affordable version of the Watch Ultra or the Watch Ultra 2, suggests a post from @ParrotSWD on X (previously known as Twitter). The user has posted images of a smartwatch that looks like the Watch Ultra claiming that Apple has submitted these images to FCC. The wearable in the images has two differences compared to the top-of-the-line smartwatches from Apple.

First, the action button of the smartwatch has a slightly different design compared to that of the Watch Ultra. It seems to be made out of plastic, which is the first thing suggesting that this is an affordable version of the Watch Ultra. Second, the back panel of the wearable is finished in black, which is different from the Watch Ultra models and similar to the Watch Series models, which is the second thing hinting that this is an affordable version of the Watch Ultra.

Currently, there’s no information on the name or the model number of this smartwatch. However, if this is indeed an affordable version of the Watch Ultra, Apple might call it the Watch Ultra SE, just like the iPhone SE. Going by these images, this prototype certainly isn’t just another color variant of the Watch Ultra 2. At this point, we need more information before taking any further guesses.
