Yesterday, we reported that Android 5.0.1 Lollipop is listed for the Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy Note 2, however Samsung didn't confirm it and there was no release date in sight. Now, Samsung France has confirmed through a Twitter reply that Android Lollipop is already being deployed for the Galaxy Alpha, and will be released very soon.

The update might hit anytime this month, and might come with updated TouchWiz UI. Samsung has already released Lollipop updates for several of its high-end smartphones including the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Note 4. Android Lollipop brings Material UI design, lockscreen notifications, enhanced notifications and quick toggles, improved security, and many more features.
