Samsung's website confirms Full HD display and 64-bit CPU on Galaxy A7

We earlier revealed that the Galaxy A7 would feature a Full HD display, at least in the Chinese market, and today we're getting confirmation of that fact right from Samsung. The user agent profile for the SM-A700FD on Samsung's website lists a Full HD resolution for the display – the D in the model number denotes the dual SIM version, which is likely the only version that will be launched in China, a country where even extremely high-end phones like the Note 4 are launched as dual SIM devices.

However, our insider had said right from the start that the Galaxy A7 would have dual SIM slots, so it's possible other markets will get a dual SIM Galaxy A7 as well, and that the final version of the device would have a Full HD display in all markets. The user agent profile has also confirmed that the A7 will feature a 64-bit processor (as it is using an ARMv8-A CPU), similar to the Galaxy A3 and, in all likelihood, the Galaxy A5. Again, since these phones are expected to launch with KitKat out of the box starting November, the 64-bit processor won't be fully utilized, but we can always hope Samsung will update all three Galaxy A devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop and negate that disadvantage.
