Samsung is preparing to launch a new entry-level smartphone called the Galaxy Ace NXT in India, according to a leak by local retailer that has been accurate about upcoming launches in the past. Carrying model number SM-G313H, the phone will be priced at Rs. 7,399 (about $123) and feature a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, dual SIM support, 3G connectivity, and a back cover with matte finish and a body that is 10.3 mm thick. Other specs weren't mentioned, but according to the phone's listing on GFXBench, it will feature a 4-inch WVGA screen, a 1.2GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC7715 processor, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

At that price, the Galaxy Ace NXT looks like an incredibly poor deal, especially in face of devices like the Moto E (and devices from local manufacturers), which offer a better display, more processing power, and overall better value for a lower price in the country. That single-core processor is most concerning, considering the heavy nature of Samsung's software – the company's high brand power in India will likely help the company move a few units to consumers, but it is becoming increasingly clear why Samsung's budget phones are no longer finding any demand.
