Samsung started focusing on its laptop lineup in 2021 with the launch of the Galaxy Book series. Since Windows is a little short on features, Samsung added a lot of its Galaxy ecosystem features to its Windows laptops. However, Microsoft is slowly but surely adding more native features to its new operating system.

Microsoft revealed that it is developing a newer version of the Snipping Tool app for Windows 11. Apart from capturing screenshots, it also lets you record your computer's screen. It means that you don't have to use Samsung's Screen Recorder, Xbox Game Bar's clunky screen recorder, or any other third-party screen recorder if you don't want to. People have been asking for a native screen recording tool on Windows even before the launch of Windows 11, and Microsoft has finally heard those requests.

This new feature was revealed during the Surface 2022 launch event, but Microsoft hasn't announced when users can expect it to arrive in the stable version of Windows 11.

Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has been working harder than earlier to bring new and improved features. It is bringing native iCloud integration to the Photos app on Windows 11 and the ability to start the Wi-Fi hotspot on a Galaxy smartphone or tablet through the Windows Phone Link app.
