Samsung appears ready to launch its next affordable fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit 4. The upcoming wearable could bring substantial upgrades, most notably the ability to make contactless mobile payments via NFC using cards stored in Samsung Wallet.
While Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy Fit 4, its companion plugin for the Android Galaxy Wearable app has surfaced online, revealing several upcoming features. Screenshots of the Galaxy Fit 4 Manager plugin show a dedicated Wallet section within the Settings menu, strongly pointing to onboard NFC.

Previous Galaxy Fit models lacked built-in NFC, potentially making the Galaxy Fit 4 the first in the lineup to include this connectivity. It will likely sync with the Samsung Wallet app on Galaxy smartphones, letting users access their credit and debit cards directly from their wrist.

Changing and customizing Galaxy Fit 4 watch faces
The tracker can also integrate with the Modes & Routines app on Galaxy phones. Users will get a wide selection of customizable first-party watch faces, alongside built-in apps and widgets (Tiles). In addition, you can set custom watch faces using photos from the Gallery app.
Beyond mirroring phone notifications, the device appears to feature an onboard speaker. This opens up the possibility of taking voice calls directly on the fitness tracker when paired with a compatible phone.
